Cutting Red Tape & Beer Duty for Pubs

Every week more than two pubs across Britain close their doors for good to make way for supermarkets or residential developments. Greg is working to change this. He said: “Pubs offer a valued meeting place, especially in rural areas, where they are often the heart of the local community”.

Sir Greg, a long term campaigner for pubs backed many cross-party Parliamentary motions supporting pubs in the last Parliament and he was named a ‘beer champion’ for his efforts in helping to secure a reduction in beer duty and cut red-tape faced by pubs.
